Super Bowl Predictions 2025/26

The 2025 NFL season is already well underway, and football fans are eager for kickoff. What better way to build the anticipation than with a comprehensive breakdown of team predictions, power rankings, and, of course, a Super Bowl champion forecast?
Below is a detailed guide on what to expect from the upcoming season, including a full power ranking of all 32 teams, a look at the easiest and toughest schedules, and projections for offensive and defensive units.
Schedule Analysis
Not all teams were created equal in the 2025 NFL schedule. The San Francisco 49ers are projected to have the league's easiest path. While they enter the season having finished last in the NFC West, the strength of their opponents is a favorable factor. They will face none of the top eight Super Bowl favorites and have numerous appealing matchups against weaker teams from the NFC South and AFC South. Additionally, their unique games are against teams like the Bears, Giants, and Browns.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Detroit Lions face the most challenging slate. As the defending NFC North champions, it's no surprise they have a difficult schedule. In addition to six divisional matchups against the Vikings, Packers, and an improved Bears team, the Lions will also play teams from the NFC East and AFC North. Furthermore, three of their unique games are against the league's toughest teams: the Buccaneers, Chiefs, and Rams. The good news for them is that their rivals face similarly tough schedules.
Offensive and Defensive Projections
The Buffalo Bills offense is projected to be the most potent in 2025, scoring an estimated 481 points. While the Bills haven't led the NFL in scoring since 1990, the Josh Allen era has seen them consistently rank near the top. With an upgraded supporting cast, including James Cook, Khalil Shakir, and rookie Keon Coleman, they are poised to take the top spot.
On the other hand, the Cleveland Browns offense is expected to struggle the most. With significant uncertainty at quarterback (Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders) and a weaker offensive line, they are projected to be the lowest-scoring team in the league.
Defensively, the Houston Texans are ranked as the best. While they were a middle-of-the-pack team in points allowed last season, their defense was top-five in sacks and turnovers forced. With 13 of their top 14 players returning, including edge rushers Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr., they are a formidable unit.
In contrast, the Dallas Cowboys defense could be the league's most vulnerable. The trade of Micah Parsons has left a massive hole, compounded by the departure of other key players. With lingering injuries and a lack of depth, the Cowboys are projected to allow the most points this season.

Super Bowl Prediction: Ravens over Lions
My Super Bowl LXI prediction is an exciting showdown between the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions.
The Baltimore Ravens likely have the best roster since they won Super Bowl XLVII. With two-time MVP Lamar Jackson at the helm, their offense is stacked (Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers), and their defense is already elite. The addition of cornerback Jaire Alexander only strengthens an already dominant unit.
The Detroit Lions were the NFL's best team last season before a rash of ridiculous defensive injuries derailed their playoff run. Now (mostly) healthy, they have a great chance to defeat the defending champion Eagles in the NFC playoffs and make their franchise's first Super Bowl appearance.
The Super Bowl between the Ravens and Lions would be a true battle of wits, but the Ravens' more balanced roster and defensive upside give them the slight edge to secure the victory.
Power Rankings: Team-by-Team
Rank Team Analysis
1. Baltimore Ravens With elite coaching, Lamar Jackson, and a great supporting cast on both sides of the ball, the Ravens are built for a championship run.
2. Buffalo Bills Led by Josh Allen, the Bills have a top-tier offense. The defense, under Sean McDermott, should be a formidable unit with the addition of Joey Bosa.
3. Detroit Lions Despite coordinator departures, the Lions remain one of the most talented teams in the league and are prepared for their challenging schedule.
4. Philadelphia Eagles Although the defense lost key players, the offense is still a powerhouse with Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, and the addition of Saquon Barkley.
5. Kansas City Chiefs It's hard to doubt a team that's reached five of the last six Super Bowls. Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid are a dynasty.
6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Baker Mayfield has found a home, and the addition of rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka gives him another weapon on offense.
7. Denver Broncos Sean Payton led a playoff push last season, and the team is even better on paper. The defense, led by Pat Surtain II, is outstanding.
8. Los Angeles Rams Matthew Stafford's back injury is a concern, but the roster is deep and talented. The trade for Davante Adams is a major upgrade at wide receiver.
9. Minnesota Vikings The team has an elite offensive line and a great receiving corps with Justin Jefferson. The big question is how rookie QB JJ McCarthy performs.
10. Green Bay Packers The team is solid on both sides of the ball. Jordan Love is set for another year of growth, and Micah Parsons' arrival bolsters the defense.
